My Background:

I have worked as a professional college counselor since 1985, helping private clients and serving as director of college counseling at Windward School. During this time I have worked with more than 900 students from high schools in the Los Angeles area. The students with whom I have worked have gone on to more than 100 colleges and universities, including state schools, technical schools including MIT and Caltech, liberal arts colleges, and all eight Ivy League colleges. I am a member of both the National and Western Associations for College Admission Counseling (NACAC and WACAC, respectively). My Bachelor’s degree is from Cornell University, and my Master’s is from NYU. I am a graduate of the Harvard Institute on College Admissions.

During the last 17 years, I have spent time on the campuses of several hundred colleges. At these schools, I meet with admissions staff, become familiar with the school’s demands, and develop relationships that enable me to direct a student’s application more precisely than could otherwise be possible.
